About Joe
I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults to improve their communication so they can take part in the tasks and activities they enjoy. I have demonstrated experience in helping people who have difficulties with: Speech, language, reading and writing, voice, and swallowing.
Although I enjoy all areas of my work, I am particularly interested in assessment and implementation of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and literacy.
I use a strengths-based approach to help improve the participation of my clients in their immediate environment, and in wider society.
I am passionate about working closely with families, health professionals, teachers, and support workers to prioritise goals and problem solve any barriers.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, basketball, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
